A Staunch, Old-School Masculine Fragrance.
Classic masculine fragrance with traditionally feminine floral elements. Inspired by vintage chypres, but overall the composition leans modern.
The opening combines fresh bergamot and lavender with hints of modern hard candy inspired notes like raspberry, citron, and pineapple.
The heart follows with notes of sandalwood, oud, and leather that are so closely intertwined they become their own unique accord. Prominent Labdanum and hints of indolic Jasmine Grandiflorum add an animalic aspect to the leather, with spicy Tonka Bean Absolute adding an effervescent sweetness that helps mellow. Bulgarian Rose flows effortlessly between the end of the opening and the beginning of the heart.
The base transforms, revealing its surprisingly powerful musk underpinnings. It is a heavy white musk with a significant ambergris presence that softens out the remaining woody sandal-oud notes. It is elegant and clean, slightly powdery, with nuances of rose, red berries, ambrette, and beeswax.
